Clinical & Research Interests

  • Dr. Ferrendelli has authored or co-authored over one hundred publications and articles. He has served on various editorial boards, including:

    • Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics
    • Annals of Neurology
    • Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism
    • Neurology Alert
    • Metabolic Brain Disease
    • Journal of Epilepsy
    He has been invited to present his research pertaining to neuropharmacology and epilepsy nationally for over 25 years. As an active member of the American Epilepsy society since 1976, Dr. Ferrendelli has served as council member, secretary, and president. Dr. Ferrendelli is a member of several professional organizations which include American Academy of Neurology, Association for the Advancement of Science, American Chemical Society, Society for Neurological Research, International Brain Research Organization, and the International Society for Neurochemistry and Society for Neuroscience.
  • Dr. Ferrendelli received a Distinguished Service Award in 1989 from the Epilepsy Foundation of America. He holds a shared patent for the anticonvulsant gamma thiobutyrolactone derivatives
